Francois Theron, Jr.
April 19, 1973 - June 18, 2008
Savannah- Francois Theron, Jr., 35, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at his home after a long illness.
He was born in Durban, South Africa on April 19, 1973 and has lived in Savannah since 1994. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Josette and Chris Botha and paternal grandfather, Koos Theron.
Francois is survived by his parents, Paul and Maria Theron, Sr. of Savannah; brother, Lionel Theron and his wife Renee and his niece, Madelyn, of Charleston, SC; paternal grandmother, Ida Theron of Durban, South Africa and many loving, aunts, uncles and cousins in the United States and South Africa.
Visitation: 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the Islands Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2008 at Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church.
Burial: Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made in Francois' honor to Hospice Savannah, Inc. P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31419.
Lionel, Renee, Maria, Paul, I was so sorry to hear about Francois' passing. I know that you will all miss him dearly and my heart aches for you. May you draw strength from knowing God is holding Francois in HIS loving arms where there is no more pain and suffering. The lifetime spent loving your son and brother will hold many wonderful memories for you to share in days to come. May God bless you all,
